武漢新東方夏令營介紹如何取得托福英語考試盈利的高分。

無論是過去、現(xiàn)在，亦或是將來，考托福中比較難的始終是聽力。聽力難使那些gre考過2300的人都頭痛，為什么？因為聽力本來就是人們英文考試的弱點。

事實上，獲取聽力的高分也并非想象的那么不可能。

筆者遇見過這么一個人，toefl90年考了580分以后，去了美國。其中結(jié)構(gòu)65分、閱讀63分，聽力只拿了50分不到。但是他gre考到了2150分，這個分數(shù)在當(dāng)時的價值不亞于今日2300，他也認為聽力很難。而最近toefl改成機考了，他便有愛好參加了2000年中的一期，以鼓勵他的gf，toefl考好。結(jié)果他聽力28分，閱讀28分，結(jié)構(gòu)卻只有25分。當(dāng)然這個總分是很高的。他后來說，聽力確實是憑實力的，而結(jié)構(gòu)，中國人研究得太精了。

這就告訴我們實力是第一位的。筆者沒有去過新東方，只有一本《聽力的玄外之音》。這本書筆者認為是toefl聽力大大小小的書中最好的一本。這本書好，不是好在后面的投機取巧。而是編的《詞匯》那一部分。筆者認為這個詞表比較實用，而且言辭生動，適合入門者，而后面的技巧筆者建議大家摒棄之，只看gter上總結(jié)的《聽力筆記》和俞敏洪寫的《聽力句型》。

如何練習(xí)實力是真的，新東方的磁帶筆者認為經(jīng)濟實惠，買第8盤以后的所有磁帶吧。很全，音質(zhì)較清楚。接下來就是練聽。依筆者的要求，大家的磁帶聽完后，殼也破了，也糊了。練習(xí)應(yīng)是從17盤開始的。這四套練習(xí)太清楚了。

第一遍：要求把它當(dāng)真，一次放下來，不許做3題不做了，放一題、停10秒，接下去放，接著倒回去，看錯在哪里；對為什么對了。有的題是蒙對的，要知道以后就這么蒙下去，建議拿一張紙，寫下第一題為什么選play music softer.大要求像reading comprehension一樣，劃出原文。然后倒回去開始重放。要求聽寫，一般放三遍，一題寫下來，拼寫不來不要緊，寫出中文。

筆者的要求前30題都寫下來后20題更費神，要跟讀！怎么跟讀？放錄音，慢半拍式讀法。音：today i’d like to…人：白音：tell you about人：today i’d like to…音：an interesting tv program人：tell you about.兩者同時進行，不必一再停下你心愛的錄音機。

有人講開始時不適應(yīng)，有辦法，先把聽力原文放在面前，大聲朗讀其中一段，再重讀，再重讀。讀到你厭你的室友不爽了。開始grumbling了。然后關(guān)上你心愛的聽力原文，打開你心愛的錄音機，開始慢半拍的跟讀了，怎么樣適應(yīng)了吧。這就是叫“適應(yīng)性練習(xí)”，筆者稱之為adaptation，這個東西用幾個星期，就不必再勞駕你了。

在放錄音機時，忌看聽力原文，看聽力原文的時候不能聽聽力……筆者保證這種方式練聽力，從17盤聽到98 08海外題后，你的聽力實力就沒有問題了。

至于技巧問題，僅限于技術(shù)方面人才，筆者不愿意重復(fù)那些老掉牙的技術(shù)了，只談?wù)労芎糜玫亩�且不必分類的不為人知的技巧�?/p>

 1、眼順原則：4個possible answers哪個眼順，這是需要培養(yǎng)一段時間的，請大家看幾套做過的練習(xí)，只看正確答案的寫法，通常很順眼，不刺眼。那些干擾項意思很不爽。請您體會，在做習(xí)題也應(yīng)培養(yǎng)，當(dāng)場是否看出哪個最不順，不爽，哪個最爽，是正確答案。開頭的幾次您也許不以為然，然而做多了你會一眼只看哪個爽的。這個技巧ets知道后也不會有什么反應(yīng)的。

2、聽到不選原則：這個原則無數(shù)人說過。不過這個原則只適應(yīng)前30題，而且越難的題越是如此。大家在平時做題敢用在正式考試中更要敢用，那些形容詞、狀語副詞，千萬不能選聽到過的，血的教訓(xùn)。

3、心理大法：這個大法是成功的關(guān)鍵，這個大法細則如下：在考試前的填表direction/instruction要豎起耳朵聽，這很關(guān)鍵，要把一切的可利用的神經(jīng)調(diào)動起來，在開始正式時，要當(dāng)作平時在宿舍里狂聽練習(xí)，千萬別慌神。

4、讀題方法：有些的選擇項很短，而且大多是細節(jié)。這時要求聽時非凡小心，必要時要看看選項聽錄音。

有人講2001年05月的聽力不像以前的了，我想這也許是那些人只注重小技巧和小句型，和分類了，這些東西當(dāng)然會變了。我這個人最不喜歡分類了。有些中國人特愛分類，不知什么道理，ets出題時也許從來沒考慮過還要分成不同category來考人家吧。

還有一點，就是現(xiàn)在有些人很喜歡罵ets。我以為沒道理，該罵的是那些出四、六級和高考題的人。那幫人專愛考細枝末節(jié)的東西，而且想學(xué)習(xí)ets出題。但是思想陳腐，心有余力不足.罵ets大概最早是從新東方出來的吧。說人家弱智，低能兒，像祖國的花朵一樣可愛……這種思想不好，不利于我們考gre，toefl。要認可ets，gre，toefl都是很科學(xué)的試題，質(zhì)量是很高的。

最后提醒：上戰(zhàn)場之前的那個晚上，要吃雞蛋，牛奶，不能吃咖啡，啤酒，不可泡mm看電影。

我的一位戰(zhàn)友這么干后，第二天考試直打哈欠，出了試場就跟他mm大呼頭痛死了之類的話。有人吃腦輕松似乎不錯，人活得有精神，令人考試時大發(fā)威，在失望時要聽童安格的《永遠不要說放棄》《讓明天更美好》。最后希望bi移民成功。

6.lecture in a science and technology class： the female professor is talking about that in the long long human history， inventions and innovations always happen in one of the two ways： intentionally and accidentally.

first， she quotes an example of intentional innovation： bi－focus glasses. before the bi－focus glasses were invented， people had to carry two pairs of glasses sometimes and this was very inconvenient. thus， bi－focus glasses were intentionally invented to solve this problem.

second， she takes another example of accidental innovation： the discovery of x－ray. when people first encountered x－ray in the lab， they had no idea of what this discovery meant，orwhere to put this discovery into application.

問題是：

using points and examples from the talk， explain the two ways of innovation presented by the professor.
